There are extraordinary individuals among us known as PRETENDERS. Geniuses with the ability to insinuate themselves into any walk of life, to literally become anyone.

In 1963, a corporation called the Centre isolated one such PRETENDER, a young boy named Jarod. Locked in a controlled environment they exploited his genius for their "unofficial" research.

Welcome to The Pretender Training Site

While this page is themed around the TV show, the Pretender, it isn't a fan site. Rather it focuses on the science behind the Pretender project--the science of accelerated learning through modeling.

Technically, the Pretender isn't real. But when the creators of this TV show (now shown in syndication on TNT and elsewhere) designed the character of Jarod and the work of The Centre, they weren't taking as many liberties with the fiction part of science fiction than most believed they were.

To some extent, we are all Pretenders–geniuses with the ability to become anyone we want to be. Unfortunately, most of us have forgotten how we once accessed this extraordinary ability. Most of us learn a single model and then maintain that model throughout our lives.

This site will provide a history of pretenders and then begin to show how the process of modeling works. I will continue development of this site as soon as Genius By Design and The Jedi Arts Training Site are updated.
